Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to heal and strengthen communities through times of crisis and beyond. Since its founding, WCK has served more than 18 million meals to those impacted by natural disasters and other crises around the world. In early March, WCK's Chef Relief Team activated #ChefsForAmerica, a movement to provide nourishing meals to hard hit communities during the COVID-19 outbreak. In partnership with WCK, our NoMad kitchens in New York and Los Angeles are providing hundreds of meals each day to health care workers and those in need. With partners in hundreds of cities across the United States and Spain, WCK has distributed more than 6 million meals to communities in need of support.
When we come together, there is strength in numbers. Every reservation at NoMad New York includes a one-dollar donation per night to support our charitable partner WCK and their work.
