Born in San Francisco, California and raised in New York City, Ramzi launched his food & beverage career in the hallways of Eleven Madison Park.
After receiving his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Boston University, Ramzi worked as a marketing manager for Weight Watchers International (whose headquarters shared a building with EMP). In 2011, inspired by an unbelievable meal there, Ramzi decided to take a leap of faith and leave the corporate world for a job as a coat check attendant. In the three years he was at EMP Ramzi represented the restaurant as Head Maitre D’ and worked through virtually every dining room position including server, host, kitchen tour guide, reservationist, food runner, busser, and private dining server. He left EMP in 2014 to become the Front Office Manager at The Standard, East Village and, after a year, came back to the Make It Nice family as a dining room captain at The NoMad. He joined the restaurant’s management team in October 2015 and after two years, moved to California to open NoMad Los Angeles as Assistant General Manager. Ramzi was promoted to General Manager for Food & Beverage in July 2018.
